The AromaTouch Technique was developed by Dr. David K. Hill, a leading expert on the use of essential oils for medicinal benefit.
The technique was created to combat four systemic constants: stress, toxic insult, inflammation, and autonomic imbalance. Recognising that there are common factors at the foundation of illness in the body, the AromaTouch Technique was developed to reduce these systemic constants and return the body to a state of system balance. Because essential oils contain many physical and emotional healing properties each oil used in the AromaTouch Technique has been selected specifically for its individual therapeutic benefit and aroma. The AromaTouch Technique complements CPTG® oils and further enhances their impact. The AromaTouch Technique addresses common negative factors that impair health and returns the body to a state of homeostasis via a four-step process centered on CPTG oils and simple hand techniques. AromaTouch will enhance essential oil activity, stimulate known body meridian and energy zones while balancing body systems and function. For more information on AromaTouch or Doterra Oils by Tess.

Trauma sites, like scars from injuries and surgery (as well as vaccinations, whiplash, falls, burns and fractures, etc.) disrupt the nerves, circulation, lymph vessels and meridians that run through the injured area - often causing pain and other seemingly unrelated illness symptoms (Interference Fields). These scars act like a “dam” in the connective tissues, attracting heavy metals and toxins to accumulate in the affected area and thus weakening the tissue. This can also lead to congestion or uncontrolled discharges at the site of the scar / interference field which in turn leads to more pain and energetic disorders. Because all functional circuits and all organs are connected to each other, an “interference” in the energy flow of the body can spread throughout the whole body – for example in the form of rheumatism. Therefore, all scars or trauma areas on the body need to be tested for their interference or blockage on the body. The treatment we offer at BioFlex Natural Therapies balances the body, restores flow, allows cell communication and triggers the release of stored toxins so that the body is stimulated to heal itself. Unfortunately, when this delicate balance is upset through poor dietary habits, stress and many medications (eg. acid blockers and antibiotics), your body cannot effectively break down food and absorb the nutrients which it requires for optimum health. This can lead to a variety of digestive problems like indigestion, bloating or constipation, but you may also experience other health issues that seem totally unrelated to digestion such as headaches, moodiness, weight gain, menstrual cramps, fatigue, back pain, frequent colds, hormonal issues and many more. The bottom-line is that if your digestive health is poor, everything else suffers too, hence the old saying: “death starts in the colon”. My tips for improving digestive health: · drink plenty of fresh filtered water daily · swap processed foods and sugars for high-fibre, seasonal leafy veggies and fruit · include probiotic–rich foods like unsweetened natural organic yoghurt · use culinary herbs like ginger and fennel, lemon juice, Ceylon cinnamon and raw honey as digestive medicines · eat slowly and chew your food very well · eliminate gluten and cow’s milk products if you experience any bloating, indigestion or IBS · manage your stress and move your body more · avoid antacids and laxatives · see a Qualified Practitioner for treatment advice and guidance on detoxification or colon cleansing Lastly, take note of your bowel motions! You are on track if they are regular (everyone’s different, but daily feels great), medium brown, a soft banana shape, without mucous, not sticky and easy to pass. The Healing Power of WATER Ever thought: “I must drink more water”? Well, you are most probably right. An estimated 70% of Australians are chronically dehydrated, which may be a major contributing factor to many health problems according to Dr Batmanghelidj, internationally renowned researcher and author on the curative effects of water. Stress, headache, heartburn, back pain, allergies, high blood pressure and many degenerative health concerns including arthritis, asthma and even some types of cancers may be the result of unintentional chronic dehydration. How do you know if you’re dehydrated? You may be thirsty, have a dry mouth or have darker coloured urine. Other signs include decreased coordination, fatigue, dry skin, decreased urine output, blood pressure changes and impairment of judgment. My tips for healthy hydration: · drink about 30mL of pure water per kg of body weight daily · start with a big glass of water first thing in the morning · drink water half an hour before and after food · keep a water bottle by your side and sip throughout the day · do not to wait until you’re thirsty to drink · drink more when it is hot and when you exercise · add a ¼ tsp of Celtic or Himalayan sea salt per litre of water · go easy on tea, coffee, alcohol and manufactured drinks as they actually contribute to dehydration · try hydrating, pure organic coconut water as a healthier alternative to fruit juices So, if you are feeling fatigued, stressed, constipated or have any aches or pains, you may just be slightly dehydrated. Just reach for a glass of water first and become your own healer. So, today I started playing tennis again. Big smiles. My shoulder held up fine - I thank a variety of therapists and self-treatments for that, but mostly doing EFT - Tapping. What a powerful little tool. Despite drinking plenty of water I had a slight (5/10) dull headache after the tennis and so I tapped the HA and immediately felt relief - down to a 2/10. I recommend this easy little technique to everyone. You can tap everything possible in your life... give it a go... even just once. (oh, I also took my Bite-sized balls for the ladies to try - they are now called: "Tess's Tennis Balls" haha. I will be writing a column for the Local Bulletin starting February. Pretty excited about this lovely opportunity to share some Natural Health Info with the local community. Column is called NATURE'S CURE and the Feb edition will cover the "Health benefits of Water".
I would love some feedback on the column. so let me know what you think :-) We had a lovely time introducing the 38 Bach Flowers and their many therapeutic uses. Participants learnt how to self-prescribe and dispense a flower essence blend as well as how to make their own Australian Flower Essence. We ended the workshop by making up a Bach Essence for ourselves, based on what we learnt. Thanking everyone for a lovely day..;-) Richard Evans, sport journalist and tennis fan rang me up for some expert advice on sport nutrition for the club tennis player in particular. He must have remembered that I used to play a fairly good game of tennis in my younger days. So, we had a chat about the importance of hydration, pre-play, during play and after the game as well. I mentioned coconut water for replacing lost electrolytes instead of the regular sports drinks (as an alternative option) and also to refrain from caffeine and alcohol due to their diuretic effects. We also talked about the importance of replacing lost carbs as well as protein for repair. The Woodford Folk Festival Talk on Monday 30 Dec '13 was well received. The Blue Lotus was a beautiful venue and the audience interested to learn about QRA. We demonstrated the technique, talked about the Biofield and Energy medicine. Nirala and I got the people involved and had them try the QRA grip on one another. We also showed how our body's energy can light up a SEDU ball by holding hands in a circle of 10 people and forming a closed circuit. It is always a good feeling when you can share something powerful and beneficial with others... Such fun and a blessing to have been a part of this Festival. |
